Navanax

This nudibranch is actually one of the most vicious predators found on Southern California reefs. It preys on invertebrates and other nudibranchs, including its own species. This makes dating and long-term relationships difficult, which is probably why they can reproduce asexually. Photo taken at Casino Point, Avalon, CA, July 2005.
