I'm going to have to get up early or try and stay awake.

Would be nice to know if it will be posted on You Tube so I don't need to do either :D

So will virtual attendance be possible? I read the thread and don’t see where that question was answered. I would certainly like to attend but I’m not gonna drive up to Lakeland to attend in person.

I'm an Aging Driver. 😁 It would be a 14h drive for me ro attend in person, and cost a lot of gas. I'd rather contribute part of that to streaming -- or better -- recording.

Far closer for me @ just under 3 hrs, but still, would MUCH rather attend virtually. I doubt I will make the drive to join in person. As an aging diver, I'd get home far after my designated bedtime.

I’m working towards it. Cassie agreed a few weeks back to set up a Zoom session but I’m not sure my request stuck. I’m just a regular customer so my polite request may get overcome by other store tasks.

I’ll provide any updates here.

Thank you so much for attempting to coordinate that!!

I admire our active seasoned divers a lot.

My first day at the motorcycle track, there was a 75 year old rider on a Triumph Daytona sport bike. On foot he moved like a 75 year old. On the track, he was just breathtakingly fast. Just wicked fast. So, it wasn’t the younger race winning jocks that inspired me but the 75 year old who was (is) still gettting after 160+ mph on the straights and agile like a mongoose in the corners.

Same for diving. There was a recent thread where somebody in their mid 60s (IIRC) is considering getting into diving, wondering if they’re too old, etc and another poster chimed in that he moved on to a rebreather in his late 60s and is now in his 70s.

I’d like to be on a vanguard GUE team exploring a new cave someday, maybe be Edd’s understudy for the IUCRR Operations position, get on @rjack321 short list of dependable expeditionary divers and a whole bunch of other dive dreams but if all I ever accomplish is blowing bubbles and pointing out shark species from a LOB at 75, that will be pretty darn cool, IYAM.
