Good afternoon regulator experts.

My Beuchat regulator has been free flowing a bit. Due to IP creep (confirmed by an IP gage). It needs a service. It is super simple on the inside, just a spring, piston and seat. I have already taken it apart, cleaned all the salt and gunk out. It needs a new seat. The help I need please

1. Is anyone able to identify the model of the first stage and the occy?
2. Is there a service kit available online for these anywhere?
3. How about a service manual?

There are limited markings on the first stage, and they have all been included in the photos.

I am based in Vanuatu and the regulator was imported into here, so there is no LDS who stocks any service kits.

Edit - Searching google with these numbers on the reg has not helped in identifying. I assume they are more compliance numbers than model numbers?

Thank you.

Tony

Beuchat V first stage. I think Beuchat calls the 2nd "V-first octopus".
Simple piston, should be easy enough. What brands does your LDS service?

Thank you @SubseaSports

The piston setup is very simple, which is good news. I was wondering if there is any way to adjust the first stage, to change the IP, but I can't see any way to do it.

Would this service kit be compatible?
Beuchat V4 + V40 Etrier V4 Yoke Repair Kit 16504

There are photos of the DIN service kit (Beuchat DIN first stage Service kit 165044), but not the yoke.

I am unsure what the LDS runs with here (the one I dealt with a lot has shut down, and the other I don't know what brands he runs).

@Tony Pr shim(s) added to the end of piston spring will increase IP. What size? I don't know. Something that you will have experiment with.
However, older Beuchat piston regs are very close to their equivalent Scubapro in dimension. I would start there.
Beuchat was very clever in designing a mechanism in some piston models that allowed adjustability using a static plate and a threaded plate with dowels in between. I dont think this is one though.

Thanks @inka .I will check out the link.

This is definitely not one of them. Just a spring inside. Apart from chopping down the spring, is there a way to decrease the IP if there are no shims? I was thinking of doing this before I worked out it needed a service, but seemed drastic. Question is mainly out of curiosity.

I managed to find a sort of manual, but it is in French and I don't think it has this exact model. The diagrams are useful though. I will also take the part to the LDS and see if they have something similar, before braving the world of postage.

What is the current IP? Does it lock up [stay at same IP pressure]?
I would not recommend modifying the spring. While it would work, you need to get it pretty darn flat and square. Otherwise you will have a loud reg lol [harmonic problems].

Beuchat tech here .ip is 10 bar at cylinder of 200bar shim up or remove to drop pressure .you can fit a Cressi Ac 2 kit straight in .the mk2 scubapro kit will also fit .the second stage an aqualung or apeks balanced kit will work .except for the small orings on the shuttle valve beuchat sometimes uses a different size .but they are long lasting .second stage assembly leverlegs down hole facing you shuttle valve legs facing up when in casing make sure lever is still engaged with shuttle valve /piston a sightly higher ip wont matter .as its an unbalanced reg and the ip will drop at around 150 to 160 bar or just blow the seat out with compressed air through the centre from the big side .the orings are 4.47x1.78mm for the shaft and 25.12x1.78mm for the head clean the cap .grease both and reinstall
