This seems like a heck of a deal. looks to be an older model Titan, but still, for $50?

What are your thoughts?

Suunto Vyper can be set in gauge mode for some trimix dives or it can be used as an ordinary air/nitrox computer. It's quite ok (it's my main computer) but requires an expensive custom usb cable.
Very nice compass - there are nice bungee mounts for it available (and for the Vyper too).
And a working regulator.
$50 is a great deal.

Terrible idea... you should pm me the link to where it's selling so I can make it go away (strictly as a public service)! lol

Buy it, you will spend $100 or so getting it serviced. Note that the quick disconnect should be serviced as well. Requires a special tool. The Vyper is a fine computer for NITROX diving. Does require a special cabe for downloading that kinda of expensive for what it is.

That regulator set is certainly worth $50. The first stage is the venerable Conshelf type that has been in service since before there were Conshelfs and is still in service in the Core and Legend (with mods for depth compensation). The regulator is easy to service and any shop that gives you grief over it should be written off from your list. Parts are available everywhere and it is still supported, how could AL not when the parts inside the first stage and second stage are still in use in current models. N

Very solid reg. The computer had a recall on it a few years ago, make sure that was done as suunto likely won't let you as a second owner do it. Even you you junk the computer the reg itself is worth that.

Expect to get it serviced around its around 30 a stage to service plus parts. As second owner you won't get the free parts if it is still eligible.

With all that said I would buy it if I needed another reg.

great info! I am looking for a second reg for a pony bottle setup. I have apeks xtx200/atx50 but will be doing my own service. I also see a poseidon jetstream / Odin first and second for $100 that Im thinking about grabbing just because of its reputation and being somewhat of a 'different' kind of reg. ohh geeze, which one, which one! or both!?
