I'd like to be able to print or export dive logs using Shearwater Cloud but on a larger scale.

Doubtful I'm the first to ask for this but I am a research diver and despise having to manually enter in dive logs for my DSO. If there was a way to select multiple dives from Cloud, export or print, determine which values from said dives I'd like to have exported (date, max depth, time etc.), maybe even choose the file type (google docs obv) then have all that pumped out into a xdoc would be, honestly, worth a metric ton of time for me.

I just find it odd that either I have no clue how to do this in a timely manner or that there is indeed not enough demand for this kind of thing.

I enjoy the .pdf printing for individual dives but I did near on 50 dives last month and about 60 the month before that.

Anyway, if anyone knows something I don't, help me out please. Otherwise I'm going to be slowly transferring information from one program to another, which I do enough of for work.

Have you looked into other log/ download options ? I’m on an extended Hurrication so don’t have access to anything but a mobile version but Subsurface comes to mind. You can download the dives from your computer and my guess is you can export. Its free and open source code so possibilities are what you or someone else can code

I have considered it. If there was another option that was able to compile logs the way I need, I'd use that.

There is a way to do this in Shearwater Cloud (for Mac).

Select the dives you want to print. You can do one or multiple.
Click the File icon, then scroll down to Print to PDF. This will give you one dive per page and include the profile and other info. One dive per page might not work for you.

Subsurface might work better for you. You will need to export from Shearwater Cloud into a compatible format, then import into Subsurface for the first use. After that you can import directly into Subsurface from the DC. Then select the dives, click File, then print. There are multiple templates to try so, I’m sure you can get the look and info you want.

Adding to that, you can supply Subsurface with your own template if you feel inclined to. Then you can fine tune it to look whatever you like. You can either do that in html (in the print function) or use TeX export together with a TeX template.

Dang, well that’s definitely a solution. Thanks, guys!

I do love Shearwater’s interface and ease of use, it’d be great if I could in the future do without the game of dive log telephone with these apps.
