I dive halcyon because of shoulder problems. The adjustable straps make it easy! Otherwise all backplate are about the same

Adjustable strap is NOT "H" invention.
Actually they frown upon it for very very long time(DIR).

I swung by the LDS first a few weeks ago and they were pushing me towards the SP hydro pro, which looks nice, but was a steep on price.

Also I visited my LDS that services SP and they told me to start over and buy a new BCD.

What your scuba shop has here is a failure in honesty, least they are stupid

The shop is trying to baffle your brain with BS and vacuum money from your pockets

Let me know if you have a different solution.

Pluck the valve remenants from the inside of your bc and unscrew the other remenants from the rest

and buy Scubapro Body--valve part number 21001104 it is the part in the bottom of my picture above

then you sideways poke it inside and screw it up, and then tell the shop people to go @#$ themselves

or multiples of above
use no glue

Costs me $8.25 Australian money

Here is a photo of my BCD:

Basically the threaded flanges are glued into the bladder and the plastic has dry rotted and cracked from the flanges. I did a lot of googling and could not find any repair kits or similar experiences. Also I visited my LDS that services SP and they told me to start over and buy a new BCD. Let me know if you have a different solution.
You might not be able to get the SP spare part.
But how about this:
Parts and Components
Unfortunately it does say : not compatible with SP etc.

You better call ahead first because you need at least two separated parts ie. flange and the elbow with nut.
The opening on the wing is 1.75".

Good luck.

I put a Tusa dump Apeks inflator and some other band on a Classic

The pull is a short piece of electrical conduit inside the hose

I'm a recycler

I was planning on the SS plate because I'm normally diving 10-12lbs in my old rig. Not so worried about the 2-3 lb extra over AL for travel weight.

We check in a bag with sharpies and my long fins, so I throw my SS plate in there and not worry about its "travel weight". I could drag it around the airports in a carry-on, but if I fit all my gear in a regulation-size carry-on, it leaves no room for the t-shirts and change of underwear, so... On the plus side I dive with 4-6 lbs in DGX trim pouches on the top camband.

The internal seal for the dump valves is definitely glued into the bladder on mine. It does not just pull out.
Take a look and feel inside around the hole. If there is still some remain of the dump valve glued to the bladder then you will have a hard time to remove it completely.
There should be some broken parts inside the bladder?

I have a DGX wing, trim pockets on top cam band, SS Dive rite BP and quick disconnect harness. I have a bad back and can't twist at all to release my shoulders. I also don/doff my equipment in the water. Putting the gear on is no big deal but I have to use the shoulder disconnect due to my back disability. The SS back plate is way to go. I have 3 aluminum BP and yet to use one

Yep there is like a rubber washer glued to the bladder from the inside. Definitely some small plastic pieces inside the bcd bladder not much else from the dump valves cracking up.
