I’ve been diving for 3 years now, mostly vacation diving 7-10 times a year. Just bought a Teric dive computer and would like to setup air integration for when I go on vacations, so that I can just hook my own regulator setup when I get there.

I’m new to setting up a regulator and know nothing about what’s best.

Can you all help me out by giving me advice on which regulator parts to buy without breaking the bank for air integration with my Teric?

If you require spg as back up then make sure your regulator 1st stage has 2 HP ports. Some 1st stage has only 1 HP port for either spg or the transmitter.

What reg do you have?

Am I right in assuming you're hiring regs?
If so, you might find hire regs may only have one HP port which will be a problem if the dive op also requires you to carry an SPG. I don't take an SPG down with me now anyway but it's nice to have both till you get use of and start trusting the AI.

How good are your eyes? If you still have good eyesight feel free to steal my setup. An HP hose of your preferred length, a pony bottle style button SPG, trident part number S137, and your compatible transmitter.

You just need an MH8A transmitter. Any brand will work just as long as its stamped "FCC ID: MH8A" on it.

Attach it to your HP port (either direct or with a HP hose) then just input the transmitter number into your Teric.

From how I am reading this, the OP is asking for a regulator recommendation....
You are correct. I would like to order everything to put together my own regulator setup. Will need to buy a first stage, second stage, SPG, hoses, etc. I don’t want to just buy cheap parts. I’d like input from folks on which components I should buy (based off of others’ experiences).
