Hi I have 2 lady buddies 5ft and 5ft 2in in height. 1 dives single tank long hose and the other dives twin tanks long hose. we always have a problem with their long hose seems too long. they're using 7ft hose. any tips?

It sounds weird to me that just 1 foot less goes from being too long to the short side.
Anyway there are places where you can obtain any length you ask for, so try to figure out the desired size and go for it.

heard of a 6ft hose? i was thinking of this but i cant find anyone selling

Run it under the can light, then another small “u” tucked into the waist belt, then as normal. Really not a burden.

Be mindful of the purpose of a long hose: single file travel, and the out of gas diver goes in front.

if you choose a shorter hose, you might create a situation where the hose won’t reach the mouth of a taller buddy when single file.

a bit of slack pulled back behind the can light really isn’t a big deal.

Tuck the hose into the waist band. It works and it's easy.
I've tried this too when not wearing a light: Get a short length PVC pipe like 1/2 or 1/4" diameter. Cut to length then make a cut in the middle of the PVC tube for the webbing to go thru. Then slide the hose under it to keep it from floating up.

Hope it helps.

My wife is 5'2" and dives a regular long hose without issue. There's no problem with hose management because, as others have said, the slack is tucked away anyway.

My daughter is 5'4", just completed Rec1 this last summer, she would tuck the 7' hose in her belt or sometimes just stow it under her Halcyon hip pocket on the harness waist belt, no problem at all.
