Done deal, rang him and I am on my way dollars OZ in hand.
He also has a computer for sale for the same money, I am flush with computers, Shearwater, Aqualung etc, wish I had the money for this one looks OK, and It's new.

The air integrated Atomic Aquatics Cobalt 2 console dive computer.
Stay away from the Cobalts, Atomic usually makes top notch stuff but these are crap.

OK, thanks, I was just reading a review on it now.

Not sure why they are crap. My friend has a Cobalt one; awesome display and never had an issue.
He may be lucky. I know way too many divers whose Cobalts flooded or otherwise failed during a dive. I’ve actually witnessed it twice in person.

I know of at least a dozen divers who've had cobalts that bricked or exploded the face plate off or the buttons stopped working. I think I had mine fixed or replaced 4 or 5 times.

Amazing computer when it's not breaking tho. Amazing user interface and screen. The Cobalt 2 also has one of the only electronic compasses worth a damn also.

A little off topic, sorry if I posted this in the wrong area:
Anyway, a local guy has an offer for me to buy a brand new, never used, still in the box, Atomic M1 first and 2nd stages for $400 AU [$310 US].
The "bling" says 'buy me', I am weak when it comes price, quality and bling.
I have 4 hours to think about it,or some other tragic will buy it .
Yes, no ? I will buy it , hopeless case.:hourglass:
Update:
What a total waste of time, the lying B@$t@%d, 'never used'! He could have stated 'little use' etc.
It had been cleaned up, when I started to strip the 2nd stage [had most of it apart before I said 'you don't mind , do you'?] too late.
it was plain to see the obvious , put it back together and said 'thanks, but no thanks' and walked out.
Now I have $400 burning a hole in my pocket.

Reminds of the time I bought a mountaineering tent via eBay. The seller said, in good condition no issues. BS, when I received it, I found holes in the floor, etc. The seller said "I guess your definition of in good condition is different than mine" and refused to take it back. It was in the days before eBay had a really good return policy so I did a CC charge back to paypal after getting a repair estimate from the company that made the tent.

The seller was pissed and paypal froze my account cause I had not sent it back with "proof of return" So I sent the tent back COD and had the Post give me "proof of mailing receipt". PP initially balked at the receipt until I pointed out I did exactly as instructed. They finally capitulated and unfroze my account (which had zero balance). About a day later the tent came back as the seller refused the COD charges.

The seller sent an email demanding the tent back. I said they could come and get it if they wanted to drive 1500 miles to pick it up as I was not shipping it again. They never did.
