Left my Hog 1st and Octo along with my Deep6 Primary Regs to be serviced after my last visit. Seemed like a good idea since were returning shortly. Can’t say enough good things about this shop....full service came in at $60.00.

They store gear as well, but I left our gear with a friend so as not to have to schlep the bag back and then down again.

"cozumel scuba repair" is the name of the shop ? where is this ?

Javier is very knowledgeable about equipment repairs. Very fair prices and probably cheaper than stateside. They stock a lot of parts so if you break something, good chance he will be able to have you up and running quickly.

Yes that’s the name, it comes up on google maps.

I forget the road it’s on but - go out transversal and turn right at the Pemex on your right, turn right on the first road, it’s down two maybe three blocks on your right hand side - weird building with the garage door recessed, you wouldn’t think you’re in the right place. I think there’s a scooter repair place across the street.

Larry a retired seal I heard owns it, I forget the two guys names that are in there but they have and can take care of virtually everything.

I can’t copy the link from Google maps on my phone - you can see the Pemex and scuba repair in that picture though - you gotta turn right at the Pemex though

Had a regulator repaired there. Good work and reasonable prices. Plus they carry some dive gear for purchase as well.

I had seen their service advertised before. The cost for yearly storage included yearly service of regs. A great deal if you are a regular. If it keeps you from having to check a bag it really pays for itself quickly.

I think the yearly storage price was around $100 -120 dollars or so. They store bikes, scuba gear... It's a fair sized area they have. Along with scuba gear sales, They do hydros, visuals on tanks. Larry, the owner has been in the diving industry for many years. He was a navy seal.

They are awesome. I have dragged crap out there for a long time. They are inexpensive.

While you are there ask about Larry the owner's kid's camo company and check out the wetsuit and stuff in that camo. I hate a wetsuit as I look like an over stuffed sausage, but I did buy one of their really COOL wetsuits. Want something different and unique? That's it.

@scubatree's husband has a custom prototype mask and snorkel in that camo that he talked Larry out of.

I second all of the recommendations on this place, I have been taking my gear there for a couple years. They do great work at reasonable prices, and they're also very nice people. One caveat - pay with cash there if at all possible, they charge I think a 7-8% premium if you use a credit card.

Ditto all the accolades. Had to bring my some gear in that failed that day while diving. Worked on it while I was there and fixed in 15 minutes. Super reasonable prices too. My friends leave their dive gear there and pay the annual fee. Had their regs serviced this last time and paid a small surcharge for the parts, but cost was great. Met Larry once and checked out the REALLY old scuba gear he has on the wall. Super cool.
