Unfortunately the story did not bother to explain how they got stranded.

Divers rescued after found clinging to lobster pot
The divers were spotted in difficulty off the coast at Greenends Gulley, Eyemouth, today (Sunday), around 2.15pm.
Both Eyemouth RNLI lifeboats were launched with Coastguard teams from Eyemouth, Berwick and Dunbar also dispatched.
The lifeboat crew rescued two divers from the sea and transferred them to the all-weather lifeboat, with one diver receiving casualty care.
The remaining diver was rescued by the inshore lifeboat and all three were taken back to Eyemouth. One diver was transferred into the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service.
A RNLI spokesman said the three divers had been clinging to a lobster pot marker after getting into difficulty in the water and were unable to make their way back to shore.
