I'm looking for a good BPW setup and it seems everything I want is out of stock. There aren't any timelines for stuff to come back into stock, which I understand due to Covid, so I'm looking for some advice.

I'm looking at the Oxycheq Extreme due to it's puncture resistant nature. I'll be diving lakes with heavy fishing pressure, so lots of hooks and snags. What would compare to this? Or is the Oxycheq Extreme the best wing for puncture resistance and worth the extra money?

It sounds like we dive about the same kind of conditions. I have (knock on wood) not run into issues with the "normal" variety of wing in regards to punctures.

If it were me, I would go with a basic BP/W package and call it good. I often recommend the DGX package. Myself, I went with the Dive Rite Deluxe harness and added 2 metal side release buckles below the sternum strap. Although that was more due to shoulder mobility (or lack thereof).

You can do a lot more diving with a BP/W you have, than one on back order. You can always pick up your perfect choice later, or find out your theoretical issue is not as relevant as you first thought.

There is a public service diver wing that was quick drying and I thought of armored fabric.

“Apex WTX-D30 and WTX-D40, but are constructed from super-tough Armoguard slick skin for increased abrasion resistance, faster drying and have a reduced risk of bacterial growth due to the slick surface.“
might not be the puncture resistance of some others.

superfabric dive rite wing is claimed to be the toughest. although i'm not about to start stabbing my wings with a seahawk to test that claim.

You honestly don’t need a ‘puncture resistant’ wing. Regular wings are puncture resistant enough. Plenty of back plates & wings from numerous manufacturers are in stock at various online shops and they are having no supply chain issues.

Vintage Double Hose got their Argonaut wings in stock just the other week. The 35# sold out almost immediately, but it looks like the 23# and 18# are still in stock. You'll have to source a plate elsewhere; but that should be the easier part.

If you're not wearing doubles, consider a BP&Wing hybrid like the Zeagle Express Tech. Replace the 'Deluxe Harness' with plain ol' webbing and it's awesome. Easy to fly with too!

Unless the OP is a public safety diver. I've been diving an Oxycheq Mk V wing for years now and other than some fading, there is no noticeable wear, and I look.
