I have a new to me Bauer Mariner. Has 180 hours. Electric driven. I bought it freshly rebuilt. New valves, filter...
I made it through the first 40 hours everything seemed fine. I changed the filter cartridge (1801m). I learned that I am a 30 hour swap. So here is my question. What I believe is the second stage has a gauge on it. It normally reads 750. Now it is currently reading 750 when I first start up and slowly starts to drift down as it runs. After about 10mins it is down to 600 by 15 mins it’s down to 400ish. Any ideas why this is happening?
Also this is kept in a climate controlled 70° room.

The intermediate pressure after the 2nd stage should be 47bar. That translates to ~682psi.

Check with foam if you can see if there's a leak anywhere on the 2nd stage. Check if the safety valve stays closed.

I sprayed the relief valve yesterday. I didn’t really know where all to spray. Never saw any obvious leaks. Another thing that I kinda brushed off just before I noticed this. (Chalked it up to a full day of spearing 160’) After a couple tanks there almost seemed to be a haze in the room. Not hot. Not smoky or foggy. As I think back it may have even had a very slight oil odor? Maybe I’m just being paranoid

I will post the information shortly. I was told it was a Mariner 1st gen but Bauer folk seem to think it’s a capitano. I lean toward trusting the seller(as weird as that sounds).

Look for these:

UPDATE
I have confused the 2nd and final stages. This is the oil pressure gauge I believe. So changes things entirely
Oil pressure for the last stage is pretty much the same for all Bauers: ~55bar (~800psi). If that pressure drops, the switch should stop the compressor. It looks like this one:

put up a picture of teh compressor. there is a hose that runs from the crank case on top to the input of the first stage input. disconnect and start the compressor. Utopically there should be nothing coming out the hose. also if there is ,,,,,,,,it is cylendar ring blow by. check it when you start and when it heats up and your PSI drops. my bauer guy puts a flow meter on it to measure blow by with. think it should be less than 3/4 cu ft for the capitano at someting like 4k
