I feel like Aggressor is playing chicken.
Exactly. I terminated ever going with them again after the fire and sinking on the RSAII. But if you stay the course to the end, and THEY cancel, you'll probably get a refund or a voucher for a future trip. The BIG uncertainty will be air travel to get to/from the boat. ..after all, that's not AF's responsibility!

After much waffling, two visits to a palm reader, one tarot card reading, staring at leaves in my tea for hours and one attempt at necromancy last night which did nothing but scare the pants off me I have decided to keep my reservation and hope that in the end I either get to go or Aggressor does the right thing if virus related issues prevent me from traveling. Thanks to all who offered advice and insight.

This post makes me hope that our paths cross one day and that we get to dive together. You sound like you would be a lot of fun topside when you can talk and your humor is my style. :D

Since @outofofficebrb has generously offered to take me with her on a later trip to Raja Ampat (at her expense) if my trip has an unsatisfactory outcome I am ok with trusting her in this case.

...but maybe not like this. :p

My guess is that travel restrictions are not their problem or part of their typical policy to offer vouchers but they are doing this, in addition to offering vouchers if you are older and/or have health issues which is the policy they are publishing on their website. They aren't asking people to claim travel insurance....so I think this is going pretty smoothly.

Come on...a free trip to Raja is a bargain compared to the value of my company topside. :D

Has anyone rescheduled an Aggressor trip that was originally scheduled after April 11? I noticed the original discussion about trips until April 11 has disappeared from Aggressor's web site. I have an April 24 trip where Air Canada has helpfully cancelled the outbound leg but not the return leg . So chaos and confusion is the new normal.

Edit: clarified the question was specifically about Aggressor trips, since that's where April 11 was the previously announced end date of "no questions asked" rescheduling.

Yes. I’ll be on French Polynesia Master from May 25 - June 4. They are rescheduling mine to later trip. I picked for October, but have not get their reply, yet. So I have not rescheduled my roundtrip flight Houston-Papeete with United, yet. However I have canceled my 2 night-stay hotel in Papeete.

Nope. Mine is in late June so kinda too far away for them to be addressing yet. I approached my booking agent about a voucher, but I got the impression they weren't ready to throw in the towel on June trips yet. For now I have kept all my flights, hotels and boat diving that I booked pre and post Aggressor.

Mine is for April 22 to Socorros but I haven't officially canceled it yet, even though I almost certainly won't be able to get there. The web site was last updated on Wednesday and still only refers to trips before April 11. Mexico has been dragging their feet in regards to locking things down, but I expect that to change over the next couple of weeks.

Totally agree. There is no way for them to escape...they are just starting later than everyone else. They are about two weeks and a bit later than us.

Yes. April 12 Aggressor sailing, actually. My agent got me my voucher and it landed in my inbox on Monday morning. Another great thing about booking with an agent...he’s doing all the work and negotiations for me. :) The test of a true relationship is not the good times but in the bad times. This is the second “bad time” (the other due to weather) and he has definitely proven himself. I’ve been working with him for about 3 years now.
