Not really a good idea. I have had several suits come in for repair that had flex seal attempts at DIY repair. I have had issues getting other adhesives to stick in areas where the flex seal was used. My suggestion is to fix it correctly the first time.

ohh okay. ruin my fun. I was worried about just what you're saying.

Do you guys sell the seam reinforcement? It seems to be more of a mesh/fabric? I have repair tape (latex?) but it's the seam reinforcement that's peeling up.

I ended up using DAP Weldwood. They should have that at your Home Depot.

Hi, Boat sju.
Thank you for your response.
I checked online at Home Depot.
It is not available here in Canada.
This seems to be my dilemma, lol.
I was able to find a comparable product.
Stormsure 620376 Flexible Repair Glue.
I was able to order it through Amazon.ca
I will write a review once I have given it a try.

Thanks again.

Hmm. Odd what you can get in Canada and not in the US and vice versa.

This might be comparable too, but I'd verify with someone local.
LePage Heavy Duty Contact Cement with Brush 250mL
Model # 1504724|Store SKU # 1000110625

Sorry but I could get the Home Depot link to work

What color does dap weldwood cure as? Is it flexible once set? How many coats do you use on a spot that's leaking?

You want to use the contact cement with a patch. It doesn't look good if you get messy with it. There are some good videos on youtube. I'm a novice when it comes to patching my drysuit.

I appreciate the answer, but still didn't answer of my questions, lol.

Color, flexible, coats needed?

Rob, I know I didn't answer the question because I don't feel that I have enough knowledge with patching drysuits. In my case I was patching the inside of a trilam suit. I cleaned the area with MEK (methyl ethyl ketone) applied a couple coats of the contact cement to the suit and a few coats to the patch. The contact cement/patch stays flexible but the cement dries an ugly yellow/brown. I'll try to find a link to a video.
