I have not seen this asked.
Can you drink the water in Bali?
Thinking of staying at Liberty Dive Resort (or the general area) as well as a second area maybe - Padang Bai (general area).

Liberty is fine, a bit older, but huge rooms, beautiful pools and grounds. Excellent guides and dive op, half a block to the water. And cheap.
Food wasn't great, but I was usually too tired to walk elsewhere. And no, you can't drink the water...

I use a Steripen and have had Balinese, Egyptian, Jordanian, and Filipino water. :) No effect. I don’t do any bottled water when I travel.

Heavy metals are probably another matter.....

Steripen (UV sterilizer) works, but only does something like a half liter at a time if I recall. Doesn't really get you through a full day unless you have access to clean-ish tap water when you're out (and bring the Steripen with you) or lug around multiple bottles you filled up and sterilized the night before. I haven't used mine in 15 years.

No, you can’t drink the water, but we were just there and everywhere we stayed in Bali had free purified drinking water available for guests to refill bottles. They’re trying to reduce plastic - it was nice to see.

No. Not even at very high end hotels. (Don’t ask me how I know...).

1 L at a time. I bring a collapsible (Hydrapak) water bottle. Whenever I’m at a place with tap water I fill up. You just need water that isn’t cloudy. Never a problem there. The tap is very clear. It’s not an issue for me. I’m in Indo for about 2 months out of the year.

most if not all hotels even small ones have a water jug to refill your bottle from. It’s convenient.

Don't drink the water.. the micro-bacteria in the water will glue you to the toilet for days.
