It seems to be based on Cayman Brac Beach Resort's outreach in the link, with the statement "Seeking Rebreather Divers to Explore our Walls, Wrecks, and Reefs." The page has some content about individual rebreather divers that could be problematic if someone were planning to come alone with one, though their reasoning is explained.

They were just starting their rebreather program when we were at CBBR last year, and it is very limited so I don't know how desirable it would be to a tech diver like @hroark2112, but they have stuck with it and they seem to be trying to expand it. They are now including rebreather options with most of their dive packages and they are offering complimentary "try out a rebreather" sessions weekly in the resort pool, see the link below:

It might be attractive for someone new to using a rebreather that wants to work on their skills or for a group trip of deep divers, but it's not very flexible for a solo traveler.

Great advice. What is it based on. An annual trip in October during slow season and the bottom of Sargassum season? Each month is different and we all want to give customers the best possible experience but will not be dishonest based on year. Is there something special someone who comes once a year can offer? We are always open to visitors comments. I don’t have rebreather experience except on a very limited basis. What is your actual experience? Always great to have relative suggestions.
What are you even trying to say? So... now, according to you, folks who regularly visit the Cayman Islands and support the dive ops there can’t give any advice based on their experience and knowledge about the different dive ops???

If you took 2 seconds to check, CBBR’s main page, you would see that it very clearly states: “now able to accommodate rebreather divers”...

Kathy - keep posting as many of us here appreciate your insights from your many trips to the Cayman Islands - I’ll actually be at CBBR in 2 weeks.

Thanks, I will - and have a great trip!

A few years ago @kensuf posted a report about a trip that a group of CCR divers organized on Brac with Brac Scuba Shack providing the support - but they had to ship all the supplies over from GC in advance and it sounded rather complicated and expensive.

They found great deep diving around the island, so maybe just having the option available will be helpful to some interested rebreather divers, see the link below:

Sorry but I have no respect for someone who stated ops make things up and worse in another thread. It is completely unfair and gives everyone a bad name. It was a horrible thing to say Interesting that it was okay to say that but not to ask if advice given was based on personal experience. I too could troll the internet and copy and paste everything and anything I see but it doesn’t mean that I have any knowledge or experience. I would not give advice about rebreathers as I have no experience with them. Just because I read an advertisement for it doesn’t mean it is accurate. But then again we all just make things up according to some.

I have no idea what you are talking about in reference to another thread, but in this thread KathyV merely said, and I quote:

“You can bring your rebreather all year round to the nearby Cayman Brac Beach Resort, but you would have to contact the dive shop for more information:
Rebreather Diving at Cayman Brac Beach Resort

So... she gave advice based on what she was aware of BUT told them to check with CBBR directly for the info! How can anyone have an issue with that?
