I found an old thread about this from 2012 so I thought I would reach out and see if their was any updated information. I am in the Lubec area and am going to start diving the local waters. Just looking for resources that are in the region. TIA

Just to provide one input to my own question, Hamilton Marine in SW Harbor still does fills.

Unfortunately, not much around anymore. Hamilton Marine is the only place that I know of that is close to you. I take it Ben's Dive Shack isn't open anymore? They used to be in Lubec.

I was just diving Downeast last week (Jonesport to Mt. Desert Island regions). The only place we could find was Hamilton Marine. They have only one person (her name's Beth) certified to do air fills, but I think she's in most days. You may want to call ahead at least for the first time to see when she'll be there and then talk to her in person about her schedule for future fills.

Everyone else in the area is closed or has bad air.

They don't seem to be open anymore. I spoke to Hamilton yesterday and they are still filling tanks in SW harbor. Thanks!

Aqua City in Waterville (Scuba Diving Lessons in Maine Scuba Gear Maine) is quite a hike I know, but have not heard of anything reliable any closer. How about the local fire stations?

Thanks. I left them a voice message yesterday so we will see. I am in Ellsworth twice a month so getting tanks filled in SW Harbor may be the most viable option. Thanks for the feedback.

I can now confirm that Bens dive shack in Whiting/Lubec is still up and running for fills. I got my tanks filled with them last week. Great people if you are in the area and need fills.

Bit of a necro-post here, but Nautilus in Sullivan (right on Rt 1) bought the compressor from DC Air in Winter Harbor and fills tanks. They also have a small assortment of dive gear and o-ring kits if you’re in a pinch, and told me a few months ago they’ll also send out tanks for testing.

No better option of you’re anywhere east of Ellsworth.
