Sharks aside, is sandwich beach still divable? Looks like all the sand got moved around. Any lobsters left?
The lobstermen are getting very aggressive, from what I've heard. And when I say "aggressive" I mean "literally trying to run over divers with their boat if they're lobstering"

I dove there about 3 weeks ago from shore. No problems, only saw a few lobsters but still a nice dive.

Lobstermen have been doing that and more for decades. I've seen razors in the rope attaching the marker to the pot, a blasting cap rigged to detonate when opening the door. I've been the victim of run over attempts by lobstermen in small fast boats on several occasions in the distant past.

For the record I've never taken a lobster from a marked trap, ever. I have found unmarked pots with bugs that I liberated into my bag.

GOOD LORD!

GOOD LORD!

I can't really blame them, from their point of view their lively hood is being threaten so are their families. If someone came to my house with the intent to deprive me and my family of our ability to support ourselves my reaction would be extreme also. As long as we leave other people's property alone it doesn't matter how many razor blades or blasting caps are on the lines and pots.

Well Spoken

I seem ro have a a harder time dealing witth the idiots on the bubble boats. Cruuising by at 25 knotss treatining dive flag as a solom course.

And jet ski's? Too bad the USCG doesn't take buzzing dive flags as seriously as they take a boater having a beer.

So I ran into this and thought about this thread...
