Atomic BC1 - Divernet

I'm sure it will feel just fine to the OP, at least for awhile and then with his skills for sourcing used gear, I'll be looking forward to seeing the next purchase!

That BC has more upholstery than our entire living room!

Is that price accurate? 1100 British pounds? Just Googled. it. $1400 for a BCD. I'm blown away at the price. To the OP: when you sell it, don't expect to recoup much of your costs.

Don't listen, @jerbee. Dive your gear. In the fullness of time, you'll probably be ready for more new to you gear.

I saw it on one site for around $1800. Could have been Canadian dollars but even so. Since jerbee got it for $550, I think he should dive it for all it's worth and enjoy the heck out of it.

Just because the bp/w divers don't think much of it doesn't mean it won't be nice gear for jerbee. The tank clasp makes me curious.

Yeah, it’s currently selling for 1400. I’ve been assured that it cleans your regulators and rinses the rest of your gear for you while you have a beer, though. Since I don’t know anything about tech diving, and don’t know when/if I’ll start, I bought for what I do know - recreational, and the same style bcd I’ve always used. At some point I’ll probably try a bp/w, but for the moment I’m pretty stoked about what I do have.

I went through a similar phase with cameras - although a d3x is pretty hardcore! I currently use a Nikon AW130 and a GoPro Hero6 black (got it for half off through a pro deal). A professional camera would be awesome, but something like the d3x would make what I’ve spent on gear look like milk money.

Wow! Cleans your regs for you whilst having a beer? I gots to get me one o' them!

When you decide to go tech, a new backplate and wing can be found new for under $350 and even less used.

If it does what you need it to do, then enjoy! Its not a bad thing to try different gear. It allows you to form your own opinions about things.
