MIRI: The body of a diver who went missing off the coast of Miri has been found, entangled in some ropes at the bottom of the sea.
Miri Fire and Rescue Department chief Supt Law Poh Kiong said divers from the department found Ho Soon Lee dead.
“He was entangled in some ropes on the seabed.
“His body was brought ashore at about noon Monday (June 24) and paramedics confirmed he is dead,” said Supt Law.
A search-and-rescue operation was carried out Monday morning to locate the diver who went out to the South China Sea here on Sunday (June 23) but did not return.
Ho, in his 40s, went diving at a coral reef site about five nautical miles off the Miri coast but did not return to shore.
