Our loose affiliation of divers in the area (called Mid-Coast Maine Aqua-Nuts) have been kicking around the idea of getting a compressor. Still in the discussion phase...
As soon as you end up with mixed gasses, bad blood will flow since at least one in the group will believe that some others are using more O2 and He than they write down. If and when the compressor goes down, and needs a new 3rd stage piston/sleeve assy, the questions will start over who was at fault.
If at all possible, 1 person should buy the compressor, figure out rates that cover costs but are still fair, set a standard date and time for filling (I used Fridays starting at 18:30), and do the filling.

I’d get in on it if you guys were around the ellsworth area. Mid coast is a hike from my island downeast.
I do mostly work stuff. Checking moorings, finding them, cutting rope out of wheels.I'm in Northport but our loose-email chain is from all over, some downeast your way. I am interested in the diving over on the east side of the bay. What sites do you usually dive? Maybe we could arrange a road-trip visit.
