I vote for the Deep6 Eddy fins very good for precision kicks. I travel with mine carry on strapped onto my backpack. Before these I used the DGX jet fin clone they were selling but those seemed softer and less precise. The DGX find also had a much smaller foot pocket.

I did a dive in scubapro split fins and while I didn't die several times I thought about it. They were like you were sliding around on ice and could barely get any back kick going.

I haven't tried the force fins but depending on the size I might have to give @JohnnyC an offer if he ever decided to sell them.

Current:
- ForceFin Hockey: Good power and easy for frog, flutter, reverse. Stiff in both directions. Moderate scoop in flutter down direction. 18", 4.6 lb., more negative than Pros. Used for 10+ NorCal ocean dives with frog.

- ForceFin Pro: Smooth, easy. Less power than Hockey. Frog is easy but uses recovery direction and bend for propulsion. Reverse is tricky. 17" 3.4 lb. Hair negative. Used for 40+ NorCal ocean dives with frog.

Past:
- ForceFin Original: Not strong enough for scuba, beyond light use. Used briefly.
- Jet Fins: Hard on ankles, spiked lactic acid just to move. Used buddies briefly.
- Voit UDT Duck Feet: Stiff. Brutal on ankles and for cramps! An original stiff fin. Used for ~40 dives with flutter.
- Oceanic full pocket: best just for surface swims. Used for a few dives.

Fins I have/had:
1. Deep 6 Eddy fins. Light, solid for finning, my go to fins
2. Mares Quattro. My first fins. Pretty good, but have rubberstraps. Still pretty good.
3. Hollis F1's. Heavy, good for doubles. Not bad.
4. ScubaPro GoFins. Only used them in the pool. Good for that. Haven't used them in the open ocean
5. Apollo split fins. No comment.

I currently use(with RB):

Hollis F1 -- for cold water
Hollis F1 LT -- travel fins, use with wetsuit

I really enjoy the power of the normal F1s but admit they are a bit heavy, some extra air in the legs does help but I could like to move to a light fin -- I tried the Deep6 fins but wasn't a huge fan, the seemed to have a lot less power.

The only 'tech fins' I've used are the Hollis F1 fins and Deep6 Eddys, so my opinion is limited, and echoes what's commonly said.

1. The Deep6 fins are my favorite, by far. They lighter, less buoyant, and still maintain good power. The foot pocket is perfect for me, and I appreciate how they come pre-assembled with quality spring straps.

2. The Hollis F1's are heavy, and less buoyant. I'm sure I could adjust my trim slightly by moving some weight around, but without doing that they make me feet heavy. Like the Deep6's, I do like the Hollis F1 foot pocket, and quality spring straps.

How does the Eddy fin compares to Scubapro Jetfins in terms of stiffness?
I don’t have any issues with Jets other than weight, but haven’t seen anything quite as good when it comes to stiffness

I only have the OMS because I don't have the Dive Rite's for a neutral fin. I would prefer the Dive Rite's but I don't need another pair of fins. Eventually I'll probably ditch the OMS and pick up a pair of Dive Rite's but don't yet have a need.

My drysuit fins are Hollis F-1's. I find they give better propulsion and control than the Jets or the XS Turtle fins. I also have the Hog Tech2's but they rarely get used. I used them before the F-1's, but now they just sit in the closet.

I also have a pair of Force Fins I picked up at a thrift store to give them a try. They suck. I posted them for sale here a while ago and promptly forgot about them before I left out of the country. I should re-post them.

Really annoying when people just disaparage without qualification, while promoting fins that make no sense ergonomically. I logged more dives, commercially, in cold water wearing Jet Fins, than most people here. I developed Force Fins because the Jet Fin style only makes sense because of its promotion.

If you want to know about tech fins ask John Chatterton, Kevin Gurr or Captain Billy Deans, for whom the Excellerating Force Fins made.EXCELLERATING FORCE FIN – Force Fin

We just shipped dozens of pairs to the US Navy, Italian Admiralty and orders are coming in from 3 other Special Forces teams.

I don't know about the relevant properties of the materials themselves, but since the Eddy blade is not as thick as the Jet blade, the Eddy is somewhat less stiff than the Jet.

Are you saying that I'm unqualified to form an opinion about a pair of fins that I've personally used? Congratulations on your success in the industry.
