Honestly I don't know if that would make much of a difference. Although he might pass out before he makes it to 3.5 minutes, or blackout. With breath holding its more about getting passed the mammalian reflex at 60 seconds, than packing your lungs. But packing your lungs helps.

In any event, there's a reason that increasing your breathholding ability has never been taught in any scuba course as a way of addressing issues.

Yes because holding your breathe on ascent is a bad thing. If your buoyancy is great, it does really help though. You also consume less air.

Love diving the Spiegel....enjoy, and its probably going to have a good current but looks like you have dove it enough to know what to do

If it's cooking I'll drop into the landing dock and cruise around under the gate and back. The current can change during the dive. I traversed the inside one time and when I came out 40 min later the current was ripping. I mildly bent my elbow from holding on to the rope. Carry a couple of 6 ft SMB's, it's not that hard to get blown off the wreck. Enjoy, be safe

And if that happens, it will be a lot safer if someone is actually on the boat, who knows how to fully operate the boat, and is watching the water in the right place. Buddies should be on the same page beforehand about what to do if one gets blown off.

It is looking like it's gonna be about 1.5 to 2 knots. So hopefully the forecast stays the same and is accurate.

I don't know what it was in those pics but I bet about 3 knots.

So we should be good to go.

Whats funny is my son kept telling me on that dive he saw a shark, I didn't see one but perhaps I was too busy watching him to make sure he was good. I actually made him go in front of me.

I was looking at those pics again and I noticed what may be the famed shark he was talking about, I thought he was just wanting to see one. It was at 530 pm, the wreck was on fire, more fish than I have ever seen on it at once.

Is that him? I guess it could be a cuda, but they usually don't swim by themselves.

No current on the spiegel today, vis 80 feet amazing dive.

Saw the biggest permit I have ever seen in my life, seriously huge. Will post some video when I get home.
