I’d suggest finding the Marker Buoy Dive club on meetup or the Pacific Northwest Dive club on FB to find dive buddies. There are a number of members that live in the west Sound. Good luck!

Also contact Octopus Gardens in Port Townsend. The owner, Don, is great.

It's an easy ferry ride to Keystone Jetty on Whidbey Island, which might attract some eastern folks. If I wasn't fighting a sinus infection, I'd meet you there.

Good idea if the current works out. @fmerkel is a good resource for optimal conditions.

Just be sure to make ferry reservations well in advance.

The currents are 'doable' in the mornings right now. I might be able to go out Friday around 11am if the weather is okay... it's been pretty nasty here lately. There was a tornado yesterday near Port Orchard.

Do you have all your own gear? Drysuit? What's your experience level?

You could also call Octopus Gardens dive shop and see about arranging a guided dive.
