I really appreciate all of the knowledge and support provided by the members of this site and have been reading everything I can on "vintage" gear and regulator maintenance. I dive a modern reg set but recently picked up a really nice Conshelf SE2 primary and secondary which also had a super clean chrome Conshelf Supreme secondary at a garage sale. The guy also threw in a Scubapro reg set for free. It looks to be 70's/80's vintage and had been stored in his home for at least 15-20 years. The second looks to be a 108 as there is no adjustment screw like the 109. The only markings on the second is the "S" on the purge button and "V-401" just forward of the mouthpiece. It breathes ok but free flows some air, so it is need of service. The first stage has 3 ports that are all 3/8 and the only markings on the body are "HP" next to the HP port and Scubapro on the thumb screw. Do I have a MK2 primary and 108 secondary? Any idea of the vintage? Are there any special tools I need to service this set, or any other advice for restoring/servicing as a personal project? Thanks!

The first stage is the Mk2 which does not require any special tools outside of the normal tools used for a Mk10, Mk20, or Mk25. The yoke was designed for pressures up to 2250, not 3000.

The second stage looks like the High Performance (108). Somewhat hard to tell without a good side view. It looks like the demand valve body angle about 45 degrees toward the diver which is the HP/108. It is an balanced second stage which works fine with the Mk2. No special tools outside of the normal tools used for Scubapro second stages.

Thanks for the comments. Attached are a couple of more photos of the second stage. Hopefully this is what you are looking for to help me determine if it is an HP/108 or ? 2018-11-19 14.28.15.jpg 2018-11-19 14.28.24.jpg 2018-11-19 14.27.44.jpg

As to tools, and unlike the mk5/mk10, you need some form of a "pin" to push the seat out of the piston stem. If you don't damage it, you might be able to just flip it. The same for the 108 second.... (flip the seat)

These are really robust simple regs for most diving....

HP. has an adjustable orifice, so look in the end where the hose was attached and see if it is slotted....

Bob,
Thanks for the comments. I looked in there last night and did not believe I saw an adjustment slot. If that is the case, would it just be a regular 108?

IIRC, there were two nomenclature used for the 108, and the HP was the third variant, and had the replaceable orifice....

The 108 has a fitting on the body that is the orifice (big chrome nut).
