Supposedly 3 hours at full power.

if the battery life is something you are really concerned about they do make that exact same light but with an external canister battery setup (appears to double the run time at every power setting). You probably saw that already but just in case wanted to mention it.

Another option: take a look at the Dive Rite BX2. It's a really nice light and is plenty for cavern dives. Only reason I don't have one is that I already have 3 BX1 lights I use as backups.

The older BX1 outshines the older RX2 can light I was using before I jumped into an LX20 handheld primary.

The BX2 is an upgrade to the BX1 and has provisions to mount directly to their QRM hand mount. This will work great for a cavern primary, and serve as a cave backup if you proceed with training.

@uncfnp 3 hours on the wide video spread. It'll probably go for 5 or so on spot mode
Wow. That’s a decent time for battery.

Disclaimer. I have not seen that dive light but owned a smaller, simpler version that also had the option of narrow and broad beam. It didn’t do either very well. I sold it.

it is, but you have to ask if it's a good value for what it is and the answer is decidedly no. The Dive Rite LX20 can be had for $600 and will do the same thing if you want a spot light, but how many people need that much burn time? For cavern/intro diving, grab 3 of the explorer narrow beams and a couple spare batteries. Half the price, and you have redundancy in a smaller package

Hey I’m with you. Looks like an expensive “but I want it” choice for cavern that will not serve him well in cave.

But sometimes we just want what we want and I get the vibe he is asking for permission not opinion. At least it has enough burn time to do him some good. As I said I hated the dual focus light I had. Sounded cool but wasn’t.

Because more is always better? Lol

Honestly though, the LX20 is 4hrs on hi... that’s not what I would call a ton of burn time. Given most people aren’t doing 4hr dives, but it’s nice to do 2 90 minute dives and still being 25% from dead on a primary.
