If everything I read on Scubaboard is true, I'm the only diver who has never peed in a wetsuit.
That's amazing. But I did that for several years before my hose idea. Now I take a 2 liter soda bottle of water to wash off my leg(s) afterwords--another first, I think.

I found this while scootering in the St. Lawrence River. None of the divers I know, had seen it before.

I bet he won't park there again! LOL

LOL, I know what you mean, until reading this forum, I don't think I can recall ever hearing anyone DENY doing it !! :D
Back in the day, if i was only wearing a shorty, I would turn into the current, then pull the suit open at the neck and at one leg.......and let 'er rip !! This method got some instant water flow going through, and seemd to work pretty well.
When wearing a full suit, I had long given up on gritting my teeth and being miserable (only to finally cave in anyway!), so i would pull the suit open at the neck, trying to get as much water inside as possible, then push the suit flat against my chest to squeeze out the water, and repeat that several times.
Then after the dive, I'd hand my gear up to the marinero, then I'd pull my suit off in the water, inside out, then I'd splash around for a minute rinsing the suit and my shorts as well as I could.
These, er, systems definitely minimized the post dive stench that would be present on the boat without them.
Apologies for the disgusting trip down memory lane !! :rofl3:

I guess the fact that all of my wetsuit dives were in cold water kept me from wanting to pull the suit open.

Hey, them Mexican cenotes are pretty damn cold !! (everything being relative, of course ;) )

I just remembered another first. While some of you may have had remora interactions, I bet none of you had a remora go back & forth over & over between you & your dive buddy for the entire end of your dive from depth to safety to surface. We were also newbies so had no idea what a remora was or what it was trying to do. We also confused the hell out of the DM later on trying to explain the "fish which looked like it had a flattened brain-like structure on its head."

Actually, holding in your pee can cause some serious issues: Watch: What Happens When You Hold in Your Pee?
How long did the remora ride on your leg?

I used to dive a shorty and dragged a remora around for more than 30 minutes attached yo my calf. I called the dive early so that I could be back to the boat first. I hung under the boat ladder and detached the remora as each diver approached. I thought it was funny. The others not so much.

I was the only one to pass my padi IE as it was done in 1 day, the IE was busted down to lowly instructor and every one else got another IE for free , seems he wanted to see a GF on sunday so he did it in 1 day , my IDC instructor went nuts and reported him
