I guess you got it, kinda touchy? I'm not your usual critic and did not intend my post to be mean.

I have a pair of your Pro Force Fins from the early to mid-2000s when they were being more widely distributed. I might have bought them from scuba.com. I could just never get them to work for me, I mostly frog kick. Upgraded them with a pair of bungee straps and gave them several more tries, just didn't work. I still have them.

About a year ago, I borrowed a pair of Excellerating Force Fins with Whiskers from Dan Volker and did a comparison with my usual fins, Dive Rite XTs. I wrote up the comparison and put it here on SB https://www.scubaboard.com/community/posts/7760551/ I tried to make if fair and thoughtful.

For the folks who like your fins, good for them.

Not for nothing, but I'm primarily a recreational diver and (to me) that means I just need a pair of fins to be comfortable and dependable. My FF Pros have always provided that and more. I have tried several other highly-rated fins over the years and always come back to my FF Pros. The dependability of the power being there when I need it but a gentle (flutter) kick being sufficient when I don't, the comfort of the fit (I have very wide feet and find most closed-toe fins very uncomfortable), the ease of taking them on and off on a ladder (yes, the bungee helps with that immensely), the flexibility of being able to dive booted, socked, or bare foot with the only adjustment needed being the removal/addition of the comfort insert, and compact travel size, all contributed to my loyalty over the years. I read your comparison to the Dive Rite XTs and while I can find no fault with it, a lot of what you wrote seems to come down to your comfort level with the product. The same is probably true with me and the Pro FFs, but I haven't seen a terribly strong argument against them or any of the positive features they provide me.

Anyway .... didn't mean to start anything here. A little disappointed that my next pair of fins won't be "Flying" but I was happy enough with my FF Pros that I'll purchase them again.

I prefer to hang on Facebook since I can block out negative comments. Then you have e-bay selling these Force Fins at higher cost than what happened in 1982. 15 years ago in the U.K. I met Kevin Gurr who expressed his support of the Excellerating Force Fin. Likes the frog kick part. I never had planned on so much debate over my designs. It came to a point for Susanne and I this was not fun. At this point the only reason we still keep producting each day is for the Military Service Men and Women. We were asked not to close shop. I can relate to these fine people and we are honored to manufactor for them here in America.

Actually, what I said was that your fins were not best for me and my type of diving. Unlike many, I have dived two models of your fins on which to base my comments. I'm glad that some folks have found your fins to be the best for them.

Thank you Craig, never had a chance to read your report. Not surprised you did not like them. Having sold over one Million and sales growing again each day, thanks for the kind wishes. Safe diving...plan to get wet real soon my self and have a pair of Pro's that suit me just fine. God Bless America, land of the free.

Thanks Bob. I've had Pros for many years and love how easy they are on my ankles. Back kick was harder to learn in them, but I think I have it, and vastly prefer them forward than the paddle fins I've tried. Will look at maybe upgrading to flying or hockey for the more technical control kicks. Thanks for the great designs.
