Banda crossings best done in October - last years hammerhead show was a bit light on as far as schooling in the hundreds, Manuk great for sea snakes and Banda Neira and the Lease Islands are all worth doing.

Check out Tambora route Ceram to Tual - I enjoyed this route last year.

Given your in RA and the critters at Kri are coming alive if you're looking for another overwhelming dive site - check out Bangka - mainland Manado has been turning it on the last week or so too.

Thanks Dan, I have seen many whale sharks and would never pay the money they are asking in C, Bay, is that nabira, its like 300 EU per day. Have you dived R4 how does it compare to Nabucca ? Is it just barracuda there ? I love the schools of R4, misool is impossible during August I think.

I have been in R4 5 times. The 6th time will be this November, including Banda, going from Ambon to Sorong.

Nabucco is not as good as R4, in terms of soft corals, but you get a chance to see those big school of Barracuda in the Big Fish Country Channel like in Sipadan, stingless jellyfish in Kakaban like in Palau, Mantas & turtles in Sangalaki. This video is pretty much cover what you will see there:

Thanks for your input everyone, decisions, decisions ! I might just stay here, I don't think anything in Indo can top cape Kri to be honest.

Ahhh but you see Hubby from afar I've never met...that's the problem with Indo sweet spots - "nothing can top this" .... oh hang on..."now THIS is awesome"

I've been saying I'm over Indo diving for four years...but...I heard one of my favourite spots is going off .... :)

Glad you are enjoying Kri.

Haha, I have been blessed with some awesome Kri dives. The other ones have been not as good, more to do with lack of knowledge from the dm's though.
Seems crazy to move from here right now though !!

If I had the opportunity that you do, I'd dive Cape Kri as long as I possibly could. BTW, the one time we went to see mantas in Bali, we got skunked ... not a one.

I think I will do just that, Kri is the gift that just keeps giving at the moment, even a poor dive on Kri is a good one ! yesterday was quiet but still good, previous eight days range from Epic to Excellent !
