I appreciate giddines, lol. No i dive single al80's thus far. I thought the eclipse wings (30 or 40's) are single tank wings?

My mistake.....egads, what an elaborated mistake. I think I'll lay off the sauce for the rest of the day...

I can't insert a pic but it may help you find your visual reference if you search for an "Evolve" wing - And then pick the 40lb one. For whatever reason the 30lb Halcyon donut wing is an Eclipse, and the 40lb and 60lb donut wings are different names, they are the Evolves
donut

Maybe someone already mentioned. Eclipse is for single tank. Evolve is for double tank. Eclipse comes in 20 (recely introduce), 30, and 40lb. Evolve comes in 40 and 60lb. So 40lb can be either Eclipse or Evolve depend on your application.

Why was the Evolve 30 discontinued?

There is never a Evolve 30lb as far as I Know.

I once own a 40lb eclipse, and trade it for 30. IMHO, 40lb Eclipse starts to get quite a bit flappier and taco-ee in water especially with 7.25" tank. Spec may say a few centi-meter wider, but it is a noticeably increase in water where the wing is mostly empty. If you need 40lb of lift, it is still one of the best design wing with close to true life capacity, but I will try to stay away with 40lb wing unless it is necessary.

There was an Evolve 30, but no more. See picture in 4th post.

I wish my H 40lb wing would magically "evolve" into a 30lb wing. 40 IMO is a overkill for single tank diving.

I thought this thread had gone away but it's baaaaack....

So, I officially apologize for my late-night confusion. I did not catch on to the fact that the discussion was regarding single tank wings - mea culpa, and again, I apologize for derailing the thread a bit
