I'm looking for a suit to wear under my 7/5mm wetsuit in the winter months. Trying to choose between Sharkskin (got a short sleeved top already) , Lavacore and Frogskin.
Why would I choose Sharkskin over the others?

Sharkskin looks and feels of a higher quality than Lavacore if you compare them together. Lavacore also ages faster than Sharkskin and doesn't have the longevity in my experience. Sorry I can't comment of Frogskin as I am not familiar with that product, but I have worked with and worn both of the others over the last eight years.

Is there any difference between the front zip v back zip chili suit?
The front zip states it is to be used as an under garment while the back zip says it is a stand alone wetsuit.

The front zip was primarily designed for use under a drysuit for colder waters. The Chillproof material provides warmth and insulation, the windproof membrane keeps you extra warm during surface intervals and the concealment technology allows you to get closer to marine life.

Hi, I have a mares 5/4/3mm wetsuit. How much warmth would a sharkskin uner it provide? 7mm? Also what model would you recommend? One or 2 pieces, hooded or not? Thanks.

Going to the Galapagos next year and may need extra protection
