Would we get the updated board and the final firmware after the test period? I might be interested in helping to get a good product out there.

I already sent you guys an e-mail about being an alpha tester! I'd be more than happy to oblige if we still get the final model.

I missed out on the kickstarter but I would be willing to alpha test for you [emoji106]....
Alpha testers will be selected (sometime in September) among Kickstarter backers.

Alpha units will be replaced with production units once production units will be ready.

See above.

Quick update on the project:

HARDWARE
We have finally completed the debugging of the alpha boards and, apart from a few minor issues, we are quite happy with the results.
We are now in the process of modifying the PCB and, as soon as this task is completed, we will launch the first production batch.

FIRMWARE
We are currently focusing on implementing all the necessary calls so that cootwo could be fully controlled by a smartphone (best way to debug something!). We expect to complete this task by next week. Next up will be the stand-alone mode / LCD user interface.

APP
We are adding to the My Nitroxbuddy app for Android the necessary calls to interface with cootwo. The Oxygen part is basically done as it is very similar to Nitroxbuddy. We expect to have the CO part done in a week or so. Once we are done with the Android app we will port the changes over to the iOS version of the My Nitroxbuddy app.

HOUSING
The design is completed.
We are now requesting quotes from various vendors / mold makers.

If you missed out on the cootwo project on Kickstarter you can still pre-order your cootwo from our online store HERE.

Looking great!!! Can't wait!

This is gonna be REALLY nice!

can you release any clues as to the adapter fitting?

You mean, the ball with the hole in it that you press against the valve outlet?

no, from the Kickstarter (bold emphasis on the option available at this funding level):

cootwo DELUXE ► This option is for a fully assembled cootwo that INCLUDES both the Carbon Monoxide and the Oxygen sensors. It also includes a carrying case and the adapter for the low pressure inflator. You will save $50 from the list price of $349.99. We will also send project updates and mention you on our site. Free shipping in US only. See project description for more details.

The prior NitroxBuddy required some creative modifications with a hacksaw to achieve the utilization of the BC adapter. The case shown for this device won't allow such modification to work. I was wondering how they were doing it this time...
