My TUL1000 light spent the last 2 years sitting on the shelf. Just recharged it, and tested it in a bucket of water. Aftert 70 minutes of full power spot (which is the rated capacity) the charge indicator hadn't even dropped below 25% yet. I'm impressed, I've seen far to many rechargeable devices die due to their batteries deteriorating over time.

That's the beauty of Lithium ion over NiCad or Nickel metal.

Actually, Li-Ion is worse in that respect, as they deteriorate over time, even if not in use. NiCd and NiMh (to a lesser degree) deteriorate with use.
