The article mentions them picking up 5 local divers. Does anyone know if these were Coast Guard divers or did they just pick up 5 recreational civilian divers to assist?

WILMINGTON, N.C. The Coast Guard is searching Friday for a missing 65-year-old male diver approximately 35 miles south of Beaufort Inlet, N.C. Crew on the dive boat Glen Ellen contacted Coast Guard Sector North Carolina Command Center watchstanders at approximately 1:15 p.m. reporting the diver was separated from his partner and missing for more than a hour.
Sector watchstanders issued an urgent marine information broadcast and diverted the crew of the Coast Guard Cutter Kodiak Island. Additionally, the sector dispatched a crew with five local divers and emergency medical service personnel aboard a 47-foot Motor Life Boat from Coast Guard Station Fort Macon Inlet. A MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Station Elizabeth City also launched to assist.

MOREHEAD CITY Atlantic Beach Fire Chief said Saturday morning the body of a missing diver has not been recovered, and the search continues.
The Coast Guard reported Friday it was searching for a missing 65-year-old male diver about 35 miles south of Beaufort Inlet.
Atlantic Beach Fire Department joined in the search. Chief Adam Snyder said Saturday as rescuers were making their way Friday to the area where the diver went missing, the dive boat that had transported divers to the underwater wreck location had pulled anchor and left. The rescue divers began their search of the last known location.
A storm developed over the coastal area at that time.
Chief Snyder said ocean conditions were rough and the underwater current around the search area very strong.
"The water is 111 feet deep around that wreck site," he said. "It is our understanding the missing diver never made it to the bottom to connect with his partner."
He said finding the missing diver, who was wearing a 20-pound weighted belt, would be very difficult. He said at that depth divers could only remain down a limited time.
I was on a dive boat yesterday out of Morehead city.
They said the guy was diving a rebreather.
There were very strong currents.
His buddy descended to the bottom but the guy never made it to the bottom.
That is all anyone seems to know.
