Here's a short 3D video (forgot to charge the camera batteries) I shot using a pair of shorty's with the video head. It was late afternoon and overcast...and we went into a cave...

Here's a video I shot the day before with the Shorty's, but different cameras:

It was much brighter so the lights have the most impact shooting near subjects---the anemone shots, for instance.

I love the spread, uniformity and soft edges of the light as well as the size/weight & run time of the shorty.

Since they are 1000 lumens each, I might want a second pair when diving shallow on a sunny day. On the other hand I noticed, while editing my Lover's Point video, the nudibrancs aren't overexposed like they are when filming with my four light rig.

I am wondering what the difference is between the DRIS impact and the good old DRIS 1000 - Thanks - Craig

Do you have any light mounts for these? I used zip ties on my first dive with the light. I have some bicycle strap mounts coming, but not sure if they'll work until I get them.

I just ordered a pair. They'll go well with my other DRIS light!!

FWIW: I have been using Fenix flashlight to handle bar adaptors to mount mine, but had to replace the inner components with stainless steel to keep them from falling apart. See post 109 in this thread for details:

Nice thread 3d. I purchased some bicycle light adapters which only cost me 1.50 each and are rubber with velcro. They seem to be doing the trick, I'll post a picture of my rig when I get a chance.
