Ban on the basis of what? Last time I checked posting an unpopular opinion was not in violation of the TOS. There have been some interesting points raised in this thread, and it has been very entertaining. Foxfish: thanks for starting this thread, even though I disagree with pretty much everything you have posted.

Good point, and will admit that some of his posting has been at least borderline trolling. However, he does generally seem to believe in his position, and my interpretation of trolling is that it involves posting things that you generally don't believe for the purpose of making people angry. The cyclic arguments being made could be interpreted as trolling since it seems these threads get to a point where people are starting to ignore him, and he starts back in on the same old stuff.

Either way (and to be clear, I don't speak for ScubaBoard or any other members) I personally prefer a don't feed the troll response over a ban the troll response.

I think it would be good if all tiger, bull and white sharks could be hatched in a controlled facility. Before being released they have a small device installed just behind their dorsal fins. This has a laser device that measures the length of the shark. Once the sharks reach 13 feet, it explodes, terminating the beasts.

13 foot white is just an adolescent, though, isn't it? I mean these things get near 20 feet long, don't they? At least let them get a baby or two in the water before blowing them up...
