I once had a nasty bruise on my elbow when diving in Raja Ampat. I am now going to Galapagos and I have had people telling me how they shredded their wetsuit knee and elbow pads on the sharp rocks.
I wonder if pads like used for roller skating or skateboarding could help as I would like not to damage my elbow or wetsuit?

Anybody had similar issue? My knee pads on the wetsuit are kevlar but there is nothing on the elbow as protection

Cheap, volleyball, elastic knee pads work quite well for protection over a wetsuit. I used them a lot when commercial scuba diving, when the work required a lot of kneeling (I also wore snow boots and no fins). Never needed extra elbow pads. Unless the recreational dive involved crawling out of the water over barnacles, most people would say that you probably shouldn't be in "that much" contact with the bottom when diving.

In Galapagos it is the standard and there are sharp barnacles. You dive down and hang on to the rocks as I have a camera I tend to lean on knees and elbow to give stability
I will check those on amazon or similar thanks
