Anyone use a Freedom plate with a Deep Sea Supply wing ?

The new plate has fixed rails for aligning the tank. Looks like the Deep Sea Supply wing tank stabilizer will hit the plate rails.

How wide is the tank stabilizer from edge to edge?
The Rails on the Freedom Plate are about 1 -11/16" from inside edge to inside edge,
and about 2" center to center.

Ron,

Not sure what is meant by "fixed rails." Are they fixed, or attached, using screws/bolts? If so, then look at this old thread: http://www.scubaboard.com/forums/ge...126-freedom-plate-first-dive.html#post5447545. Post #3 in the thread describes what I did. (My wing is different from yours, though.) FWIW.

By the way, my Freedom plate easily remains one of my most favorite pieces of gear ever. And I've been diving since the late 1980's.

Stabilizer on wing is about 3 inches wide. It doesn't look like it can be squeezed and fit under the rail. The new Freedom plate rails are welded on and cannot be removed.

Wondering if anyone with a DSS wing has tried the new Freedom plate. Would the wing stabilizer sitting on top of the plate rails just push the tank a little further away or will it create some kind of problem ?

The new freedom contour has fixed rails. Works great with my HOG wings.
