Or call SEI hq and ask to speak to Santyna. Tell her Jim Lapenta said to call. And they have a fax machine. She might not be able to help without yoir ymca cert number. Who was your instructor?

Well, I contacted Santyna at SEI and have submitted my info via their website (lost card section). She said she will look into it Tuesday and get back to me. Hopefully she will be able to send me some sort of verification. Down Under dive shop has a boat going out Friday so I may be able to get something going here by that time. Thanks for the info and will let you know how I make out.

Please...don't leave home without it....I guard my cards and log book with my life...more so than credit cards...they can be replaced easier...

Yea, trust me. I felt the same way. I had diligently been hanging on to my C card for YEARS. However, my wife got me a new wallet for Xmas and I think that is how it somehow got misplaced when I transferred all my "stuff" over to it. Oh well. One dive shop down here mentioned that they are goiving C cards out so they can simply be pulled up on your smartphone. This would be ideal, but we'll see what happens here.

I have more c cards than credit cards... :(

See now if you were PADI certified you could instantly have proof of certificiation on your cell phone...

Yea, if I knew back then what I know now, I probably would have just gone with PADI for the certification as well. Live and learn.

I had a similar problem but without the time constraints.

My card was NASDS, but I still had it, though it was crumbling apart. Enough left for a shop to accept it. NASDS is long gone, their records taken over by SSI. There was also a fire that destroyed a lot of records. I filled out a form with SSI, included a copy of what was left of my card, sent it in with some money & a bit later I got a new SSI card.

It may take a little time & money, but you can replace the card.
