Unusual Coloured Exposure Suits

OK, so this is scuba-related, but not a serious topic: Do any of you own unusual coloured wet or drysuits? Or have you seen any unusually coloured suits?

I saw a guy today in a bright yellow wetsuit. He's apparently an instructor that's been operating in the area for years, well known for his colour choice. I guess his students are probably thankful for it if they're worried about losing him underwater. I've also dived with a woman who had pink everything: wetsuit, fins, BC, weights, the lot -- also completely unmissable in the water.

I was also reminded of John Lydon's (aka Johnny Rotten from the UK punk band the Sex Pistols) 'bee suit': John Lydon's Shark Attack - Ragged Tooth Shark - YouTube. The wetsuit's unfortunately more attractive than his trim and buoyancy.

I've seen pink, purple, yellow, green, and a mixture of the above. If they had stock drysuits with crazy colors when I was in the market, I would have bought one. Nice to easily identify your equipment and be easily identified by buddies.

But alas, I have only a black and red drysuit. A lot of the older neoprene drysuits have interesting colors.

I clearly haven't been diving long enough. I've only seen that one yellow and one pink wetsuit. All the others I've seen are either mostly black or mostly blue, with maybe a stripe or two in another colour (red, yellow, pink, whatever). I have a custom-made wetsuit. I'm regretting not asking for some more interesting colours, I don't think it would've cost much more.

Wetsuits seem to come in way more colors than drysuits. Older suits are likely to be more colorful too.

Sometimes it can backfire. My buddy always gets aggression from cabezons because of the pink on her gear. Cabezons are pretty harmless, though.

My wife & daughter dive with pink, yellow & black wetsuits (1 with pink stitching, the other with yellow stitching).

My son has a red, yellow & black suit (red stitching).

My own suit is yellow & black (orange stitching)!

my daughter snorkels in blue but she wwants to get her green

If your buddy loses you while you're wearing that wetsuit, they really need to give up on diving.

PADI video's are always loaded with 'em! The lastest edition of Diver mag shows a Posideon (I think) red suit ala Uhulu from Star Trek, I kinda like it. There is also a blue wetsuit from I can't remember who but it looks like retro wetsuits are making a comeback!

I keep playing with the idea of taking my Fusion Sport skin to a tailor and having them make me one in some kind of wild-colored Lycra . . . There's altogether too much black in this sport!
