I have a Scubapro tforce and I notice it sits very high up on my back and doesn't quite fit my curves. I quite fancy a ladies specific travel BCD.

Reviews suggest the Cressi Air travel BCDs are good and specific to ladies.

Anyone here own one, or any recommendations for other makes?

Both my wife (muscular build) and my daughter (petite build) use the Aqua Lung Zuma. It has a great fit, highly adjustable, comfortable and is weight integrated. The only weakness to it is that the bag can be easily damaged. Otherwise we absolutely love them. It was one of our best purchases.

Other then the Zuma, the zeagle express tec is another great bcd. Although, not specifically designed for women, it is more adjustable then a standard bcd and is like only 6lbs or so.

The Aeris EX Lite Travel BCD is also a great looking bcd and at only $175 from leisurepro its really cheap.

Personally I wouldn't hesitate to get an express tech for a gal, just add a crouch strap.

You're obviously not a girl, are you? ;-)

Yes, I'm not a gal but my ex gf did used one and she loved it. The only thing she kept complaining about was having to reach down to use the crouch strap... :sigh_2:

However, the bcd never rode up on her so I took that as a inconvenience but not a deal breaker lol!

Maybe its different of you're just in a swimsuit but I have no trouble with a crotch strap in my wet and dry suits...

P.s. I'm a woman...

The problem I have is when I wear a weight belt (with dry suit generally) the BCD doesn't sit around it well, and has to sit above the weight belt. Not sure a crotch strap is going to do much against that, to be fair. I just want a BCD that fits my curves without having to add bits to it!

Well there is one other bcd I forgot to mention:
Wicked Lite - Wicked - BCs - Zeagle Dive Systems

Not to be a stick in the mud but the reason why the express tech is very interesting IMHO is that the deluxe version comes with 30lbs weight pockets, you have a choice of different wings lifts and of course you could add the annoying crouch strap since, you no longer need a weight belt :D.

Both are rather light too.

Well, it's not going to surprise anybody when I say that I think the most comfortable BC of all is a simple backplate and wing system. The Kydex plate that Deep Sea Supply sells, combined with their 17 lb travel wing, is the most compact and easily packed rig you can possibly come up with. And the ability to adjust the harness so that it fits perfectly is delightful for those of us who don't fit the manufacturer's standard measurements.

BTW, I've been diving with a crotch strap for seven years, and it has never bothered me a bit. And I love the fact that my BC NEVER rides up on my shoulders.

My wife loves her Zuma and nothing is lighter. It is a very sleek and minimal piece of equipment. It is not intended for heavy exposure protection diving, it is a swimsuit, rash guards, shorty, tropical suit rig. I seriously doubt anything packs smaller or lighter since it weighs only about four pounds and rolls up smaller than a towel.
