Well, it's not going to surprise anybody when I say that I think the most comfortable BC of all is a simple backplate and wing system. The Kydex plate that Deep Sea Supply sells, combined with their 17 lb travel wing, is the most compact and easily packed rig you can possibly come up with. And the ability to adjust the harness so that it fits perfectly is delightful for those of us who don't fit the manufacturer's standard measurements.

BTW, I've been diving with a crotch strap for seven years, and it has never bothered me a bit. And I love the fact that my BC NEVER rides up on my shoulders.

If you are not built exactly like the manequin in the window at Macy's, the selectable sized components that make up the Zeagle Zena will fit you better than any "One size fits all" model. I recomend this as the woman's Zeagle model to first consider.
