I am looking to find out if anybody around here has had their equipment serviced by The Dive Academy in Oakville. I am looking to likely take my HOG regs to them for service but have had so much crap luck with reg repair lately that I wanted to see what their customers had to say. I just want to know if they come highly recommended for service before I drop the regs off.

Would you send your child's regs to them for service? Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Great shop...Dean is a great guy and runs a beautiful shop.

I can't comment on the servicing, but we got gear from them several times and will go there again with no hesitation. Very knowledgeable, helpful and professional.

I also received an PM from my post on OD and it was a glowing review. It sounds like these guys run a good shop. I am very glad to hear it. Thanks for the feedback so far.

We've been diving with Dean since he opened - he regularly services all our gear and we trust him 100%, he is amazing.

He hosted our child's scuba party, so yes, we trust him with our child's regs and frankly, with our child.

Hopefully you end up being part of The Dive Crew & we see you this dive season ... which has already started at the Dive Academy: Dean had air available at 7:30 a.m. on Good Friday.

Dean Rocks !!!

So far the experience has been good. He took my gear and sold it on eBay for $50 :D. Just kidding. He took it, said it would likely be a week and I just got the email, 3 days later, that my gear was ready for pick up :thumb:.

Hopefully I can get out diving the weekend after next to see if anything falls apart. I do not expect that of course.

SCUBA Steve you don't have to sell the gear to be able to service it, I'm sure Guy with over 35 years service experiance at Aquarius or any other service technician for that matter can obtain the parts as required.

Agreed however by starting with a HOG registered dealer I can at least know I am not the guinea pig for the shop. It's where I like to start.....YMMV
