Yes, but the solids come out with the gas when sufficiently frightened. That would be the subject of a whole new thread!

I wonder, if you fart at depth, does the thermal benefits outweigh the use of Argon gas in your dry suit?

Some facts: Average person farts about 14 times daily. About .5 liters of gas. The gas is mostly nitrogen and only a tiny amount of methane.
