. No fuss Fred! We just like to talk about food almost as much as about diving. Or at least I do. Nice meeting you and hope to see you again. Next time let me suggest some restaurants though!I really didn't mean to create a fuss.

El Moro is definitely a cab ride and Wet Wendy's is unless you really, really like to walk. You might walk in on an afternoon then cab it back to the hotel as they make some mean drinks. I'm trying to think of what I would consider walking distance and especially if you are talking about evening. Maybe Blue Angel, which is south of HC but not that far. Primas which is in El Cantil and pretty pricey and I have not eaten there. Maybe a few spots up on the south end of 30th around Corpus Christi? I would be inclined to take a cab pretty much everywhere to places on Christi's list. Might be my age talking though. It is a short enough bicycle ride but the resort probably won't offer those. Most places on the way into town from HC are pretty touristy. Tomorrow maybe I will cruise around on my bicycle and see what I can see. Hopefully others here on the board can be more helpful than I. It is just that I don't usually walk south from my house in town toward your hotel to find places to eat.Anybody know any good places to eat close to the Hotel Cozumel? I've got Christy's list, but not sure where any of them are located. Would like to try some within walking distance of HC. I know everyone likes El Moro and Wet Wendys, but are they close to the hotel? If they require a cab ride, we'll probably try them when our friends get there and we go out with them. We're not particular, but would appreciate suggestions from others who have tried various places, and have enjoyed the food.
It's our first time staying in town.![]()

Maricaibo/ Tunich yesterday. Diving with Liang. It was pretty rough on the surface at Maricaibo but was nice beneath the waves with very little current and over one hour dive time. We were the only boat that far south. Gotta' love Capt. Marcello for putting up with that rough ride on the surface for us to have our dive. 37% EAN allowed a 79 minute dive at Tunich after that:cool2:. Weather is great. It's great to be here at the Villa again. El Morro for dinner, Mmmmmmm.....
