My wife and I are travelling from the US directly to Roatan, Honduras (via IAH) for a seven day holiday and were curious how many people actually prepare for this with getting the recommended CDC imunizations - Hep A, Hep B, Tetnus and Malaria.
Looking at the costs for the drugs alone almost equal the cost of our stay at AKR for the week. I've been looking throughout the forums and have not seen anything from people who traveled there and came back infected and sick.
We don't plan on letting the cost of the meds deter our decisions but we have traveled the Western Carribean in the past and have not heard of any "ill" stories.
Has anyone Been There, Done That?
Thanks
