Hi Guys! I put together this video with my new HD Hero that I modified with the BlurFix flat lens from AquaPro HD. I also used the CY red filter also from AquaPro. The video is filmed off the south side of Oahu. Music is from Morris/Roberts Group Morris/Roberts Group | North Fort Myers, FL | Rock / Blues / Soft Rock | Music, Lyrics, Songs, and Videos | ReverbNation

I will be making more videos and posting them on my blog soon! Diving Addiction

Very nice!

I can't wait to try out my Hero2 with Blurfix. I was just in Kona back in January, but with just the stock case as it was a last minute purchase. The quality difference is huge.

New video diving the YO-257 and San Pedro wrecks. Filmed in 1080p with a GoPro HD Hero2 equipped with the BlurFix flat lens and red filter. Music by Morris / Roberts Group. Best watched on YouTube in 1080p fullscreen. Enjoy!

The video clarity looks great. I notice the video seems a little jumpy or laggy at times. I'm not sure if this has to do with it being uploaded or if it may be the 1080 with the slower 30fps. Any thoughts? I haven't got mine yet so I haven't been able to experiment with the filming. I'm just trying to get an understanding of the best balance between picture qulity and smoothness in the filming. Very cool video though

Glad you liked the video! Wish I could give you a better answer on this but I'm really not sure. I think it has mostly to do with the computer and/or internet processing and streaming the HD video. You can play video on an HD TV directly from the GoPro using and HDMI-mini cable and this produces smooth video on any resolution. Playing the video from a computer, especially if its being streamed rather than played from a drive, causes it to be jumpy at times. I'm using a weak little netbook to do my editing where I should be using a much more multi-media capable machine so I can't experiment much. Maybe someone else can chime in on this based on their experiences.

Eevel - just purchased the GPH2 and the blurfix so you now have me really pumped up to use it! Couple of Q's: 1) how are you mounting the unit underwater - wrist mount or some other way and 2) what editing SW are you using? Look forward to your response!

I have the camera attached to a standard dive gear retractor like you might attach a small torch to. I hook that to a D-Ring on my shoulder. To shoot video I just pull the camera out and hold it in my hand. If I'm not using it I just let it retract back and it's totally out of the way.
For editing I'm just using the windows live moviemaker that comes with windows PCs. I'd like to use something better but I'd need to buy a faster computer and new software. Since I'm currently a broke-ass scuba instructor that's not happening for a while : ). Hope you enjoy your new camera! Let me know if you have anymore questions.
