Hey Central Texas Swampers,

Anyone have current conditions to report on the rivers? My gear is dry and I need a half assed road trip

Thanks

Here is a site that I have found useful on the flow of the San Marcos,

USGS Real-Time Water Data for USGS 08170500 San Marcos Rv at San Marcos, TX

Actually, a low flow period makes for a better dive on the San Marcos. Less current to fight against when you are looking for "treasure". My gear is dirt dry and I have some tanks out of vip that need to be used. Drop me a pm on the dates. Drift diving is much easier with dive buddys.

Thanks for the link, I'll send you a pm when I nail down a date

Excellent, if you would be so kind as to post conditions, I would greatly appreciate it

Dove the Comal this past Saturday morning -- just the section above the tube chute, along Hinman Island Rd. Water level and flow were good. Vis was under 10', but may have been due to the rain that had been coming day for a day already at that time.

Thanks, water temp around 70?

Quit being such a warm water wuss :lol2: When the air temps get up a bit, head over to the swamp with me :rocker:

deal, maybe the drysuit will be back by then : ), if not, the dive will be short!

Hello Aquatrax, I was planning on heading up to Comal River, Sunday, 12-11-11. Will be watching the weather. I should arrive by 12:00 noon. The run off of rain might mess up the visability. As long as it is not raining when it is cold , I don't mind going diving.
