I looked at the islands west of Flores, but I'm having trouble
One is mega expensive 145$ per night ... maybe I can haggle
The others either don't have hot water ... I need a hot shower
or, don't have dive centers on the island
Looks like I may end up at the Bintang, even tho I don't really want to

Yes having hot water out on the islands would be expensive - all fresh water has to be shipped over to them as they are dry. More info at Thailand Bali and Other Beaches and Islands: Seraya and Kanawa Islands and Labuanbajo town, west Flores.

That's Bidadari otherwise called Angel isle resort, the dive center is operated by reefseekers, I've had problems with them, you can check out my report somewhere around end 2010.
There's also a new italian owned resort on Sebayur which looks great, I cannot find any website but you can find and contact them on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/media/set/...ges/Komodo-Resort-Diving-Club/171213296244323
Otherwise Waecicu resort, french management with own dive center could be a good bet too, a bit out of LBJ though.

I am just leaving Sorong after a live aboard and seven days land based in Raja Ampat heading to Bali tomorow then on to Flores please let me know what you ended up doing as i will have some time before going on a live aboard (did yours work out ?).
